BuildScope uses AI to help users prepare better project information faster.
AI is helpful, but it is not perfect.
These documents are general draft website policies and should be reviewed by an Australian lawyer before publication.
How BuildScope uses AI
BuildScope may use AI to:
- Draft scopes of works
- Organise rough notes
- Identify missing information
- Suggest inclusions and exclusions
- Help structure quote information
- Create project summaries
- Assist with PDF wording
- Suggest clarification questions
- Help detect possible human errors
AI does not replace you
AI cannot replace a qualified builder, trade contractor, estimator, engineer, certifier, designer, solicitor or accountant. The user must review and approve all AI-generated content.
Company-specific learning
BuildScope allows each company account to develop its own internal preferences over time, including preferred wording, templates, inclusions, exclusions, PDF layouts and project workflows.
This learning remains isolated to that company account.
Platform improvement
BuildScope keeps a record of the scopes its AI drafts and the changes users make before exporting. We study those changes to make the estimator's wording, structure, exclusions and clarifications better for every trade on the platform.
This learning is about general patterns only. It never copies one company's private project details, addresses, rates or wording into another company's scopes.
Our AI provider (Anthropic) does not use data sent through BuildScope to train its AI models.
AI errors
AI can make mistakes. It may misunderstand user input, miss information, create incorrect assumptions or produce wording that does not fit a specific project. Users must check all AI-generated output before use.
Feedback
Users can submit feedback when an AI output is wrong, confusing, incomplete or not useful. This helps BuildScope improve the product and may help company-specific outputs become more useful over time.
