Nothing slips through

What BuildScope checks on every plasterer job.

Industry-specific inclusions, prompted before you send the scope, not discovered after you win it.

Sheeting
  • Supply & install plasterboard
  • Wet area board to bathrooms
  • Cornice install
Finish
  • Flush & set joints
  • Sand ready for paint
  • Patch existing damage

The scope itself

What goes into a plasterer scope of works.

Plastering scopes underprice the fiddly work: cornice runs, patch repairs and getting boards into an occupied house.

Line items that belong on it

  • Supply and install plasterboard to walls and ceilings
  • Supply and install wet area board to bathrooms and laundries
  • Supply and install cornice to nominated profile
  • Flush, set and sand joints ready for paint
  • Patch and make good existing damaged plaster

What gets left off

  • Cornice by the linear metre. Runs, mitres and corners are slow and rarely counted properly.
  • Wet area board upgrade. Different product, different price, easy to quote as standard sheet.
  • Patch repairs to existing surfaces. Blending into old plaster takes longer than sheeting a new wall.

Worth excluding in writing

  • Painting and sealing of finished surfaces
  • Removal of existing plaster containing hazardous material
  • Structural rectification of framing out of tolerance

Where BuildScope fits

You run the job. BuildScope does the paperwork in the middle.

Plasterers know how to walk a job and price it. BuildScope takes the paperwork between the site meeting and the quote going out.

BuildScope does this You do this
  1. 01 Enquiry lands Client rings or emails. You book a time to look at the job.
  2. 02 Site meeting You walk the job, measure up and take your photos.
  3. 03 Brain dump Talk or type the job into BuildScope, on site or in the ute.
  4. 04 The questions BuildScope asks what a tired estimator forgets: access, protection, rubbish, patching.
  5. 05 Scope of Works A full scope, trade by trade, preliminaries first, PC and PS kept separate.
  6. 06 Price and export Check quantities and pricing, apply your margin and GST, export the client-ready PDF.
  7. 07 Send and sign You send the PDF. The acceptance page is already in there for the client to sign.
  8. 08 Job runs Book the trades and get moving. The scope is your checklist and your variation defence.

BuildScope covers steps 03 to 06. You do the trade work, it does the paperwork.

Plasterers already running accounting software? No worries.

Build the scope in BuildScope the way you always do, then move the job into your accounting or job management software as a draft, with the PDF attached. Nothing reaches your client until you send it.

How it works

Three steps from site visit to client-ready scope.

01

Describe the job

Measure the sheet areas and the cornice runs, and note which rooms need wet area board.

02

Answer the questions that matter

BuildScope asks the plastering questions: square metres of wall and ceiling, cornice profile and linear metres, wet areas, and the extent of patching.

03

Review and send

Check the linear metres on cornice and your patching allowance, then export before you leave site.

FAQ

Questions plasterers ask before signing up.

Is BuildScope built for plasterers?
Yes. BuildScope is built around real plasterer scopes of works, with plasterers-specific line items, inclusions and wording. It is not a generic template you have to bend to fit.
Can BuildScope help plasterers avoid missed items?
That is the point. It prompts for the things plasterers commonly leave off a quote, like supply & install plasterboard and wet area board to bathrooms, so fewer items slip through before you send the scope.
What should a plastering scope of works include?
Sheeting and finishing as separate sections. Plasterboard to walls and ceilings with the square metres, wet area board named separately for bathrooms and laundries, cornice with the profile and linear metres, then flush, set and sand ready for paint. Patching existing damage belongs on its own line because it is priced by the repair, not by the metre.
Why do plasterers underquote cornice?
Because it gets estimated by the room rather than measured by the metre, and because mitres and corners take disproportionate time. A long straight run and a small room with six corners can be the same linear metres and very different hours, so counting the runs and noting the profile is what keeps the price honest.
Can I edit the scope after the AI builds it?
Always. Every line item, quantity, rate and section is editable. Reorder, add, remove or reword anything before you export.
Does BuildScope work from voice notes and photos?
Yes. Talk through the plasterer job, or drop in site notes and a PDF, and BuildScope turns it into a structured Scope of Works you review and tidy.
How does the free trial work?
7 days free with 10 scopes on us, no credit card. Build and export them however you like. After that it is $99 per user a month, everything included.
Does BuildScope work with the software I already use?
Yes. Connect it once from your account settings and any saved scope can be pushed across as a draft, carrying your line items, section headings and exclusions, with the BuildScope PDF attached. BuildScope never sends it to your client and never raises an invoice: that stays your call.
